Policies to legalize the homes our cities need most—low-rise apartments and other modest, attached homes like duplexes, fourplexes, and low-rise apartments—can meet opposition in part because people aren’t sure what they might look like.
Showing photos of these “missing middle” homes helps normalize gentle density and illustrate how a diversity of home types fits into our communities. But writing about affordability solutions over the years, we know photos of multi-family homes aren’t always easy to find.
So, we created a missing middle photo library of our own!
