Longtime friend of Sightline, Yoram Bauman, will have a new book out next week: The Cartoon Introduction to Economics. (It’s illustrated by Grady Klein.)
I expect this book will be good stuff. You shouldn’t think that because the presentation is offbeat and funny, it isn’t serious too. Yoram’s a PhD economist and his book is good enough to garner a cover blurb from Gregory Mankiw, among other heavy hitters in the world of economics.
You can find ordering information over on Yoram’s website.
I guess I should also mention that among other contributions to Sightline, Yoram co-authored Tax Shift with Alan Durning back in 1998 (when we still went by the name Northwest Environment Watch).

If you like this sort of thing, there is also an excellent book by Nancy Folbre called “A Cartoon Guide to the US Economy” that does a great job of using humor and graphics to explain some things.
