Attention Puget Sound blog readers! This Monday night, March 26, turn off your computers and head to Seattle’s Comedy Underground at 8:30pm for a Sightline comedy benefit show.
It’s the first night of the Environmental Comedy Festival, where great comics will crack jokes about the environment (and environmentalists). Sightline, meanwhile, will enjoy the satisfaction of knowing we’re helping to reconcile laughing people and nature.
And the first person to call me—Stacey—at (206) 447-1880, ext. 107 (or email at stacey@sightline.org), will get a free ticket!
The Environmental Comedy Festival is a subset of a larger comedy benefit series developed by Sightline’s own former intern and Tax Shift co-author Yoram Bauman, who also happens to be the world’s first “stand-up economist.” (See one of his economics routines on YouTube.)
Last year, Yoram connected the Comedy Underground with nonprofit organizations eager to raise more funds with his Non-Profit Comedy series.
Sightline was Nonprofit Comedy’s first beneficiary last March. If last year’s show was any indication, anyone who attends is in for a big belly laugh of a night. Fifty percent of proceeds will go to support Sightline’s work. Details here.
Hope you can join us!
