There’s a fairly wide margin of error with these numbers, especially for smaller counties. And I’m not sure if there’s any clear lesson to be learned, really. But it’s pretty clear that Southern Oregon is getting hit pretty hard..
And while I’m on the topic of jobs, check out this moderately rosy story in Portland’s Willamette Week: apparently the windpower business is one of the few growth areas in the Oregon economy. I won’t give away the backstory, but the article’s worth reading.
