The Daily Score will be a little slow in the next few days as our bloggers are out of the office for much of the week. We’ll be back in full force on Monday though.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
And if you’re looking for some Sightline reading (and viewing) to fill the time, here are few things to check out:

I saw Alan’s video and appreciate the perspective and learning how a sustainable Cascadia is developing. Thanks Alan, and all the people working with you to propel us towards a clean and green future!Does the Sightline board of directors view sustainablity as including individual, ecological and cultural (“ice”) health? I do. If “ice” health is the goal, some incentives to lead us towards it might be…–A state constitutional amendment (ballot initiative) where the people can have an opportunity to agree on this sort of thing. It could include a clause to hold policy makers accountable—via fine or not be allowed to run for re-election. I have heard that Hawaii has something in thiers to making it the responsibility for the state to protect future generations.–A movement to tie our national currency with an international standard where the value of our currencies is tied to a Global Health Index. When indicators of health rise, the value of our currency rises. Right about now, what do we have to lose? Isn’t now the best time for a jump towards a bold new direction.–Our corporations need to be aligned with health as a goal not just financial gain as a goal. If health can become synonomous with profit that might help—connecting our currencies with health might help that. Or if we could make a law (by initiative) for our nation to only do business with corporations that become “non-profit” institiutions or only make a profit by raising national and global indicators of health.–I hope my suggestions have fallen on fertile ground. Please direct me to whom else might be aligned with this thinking. Feel free to pass them on. If alot of people can at least get behind the idea of the “Global Health Index” to move it forward,(by initiative?) that would be great!

What if Sightline News could be posted in bulletin boards in coffee shops, grocery stores & libraries in Cascadia, along with Organic Consumers Association News. The idea is to get folks in this region on the “same page.” And to get important info out to people that might otherwise not get it. Right now I have been appreciating Organic Consumers Association as my home page for news. Food safety is right up there with green energy in importance to me, and so many of us.

I hope you had a good Thankgiving, even though it’s in the wrong month. An interesting development in BC this month:http://tinyurl.com/5hrsqwA good idea, of course, but I can’t help but wonder if the money wouldn’t be better invested in the Lower Mainland, where we have a significantly higher population.
