Here’s a look at how this year’s paltry snowfall played out at Mount Rainier National Park. Since the start of record-keeping in 1920 (and excluding a few years in the 1940’s and 1950’s when records were not kept), this winter’s snowfall was the fifth smallest. It was the lowest snowpack since the winter of 1939-40.
