Join us for a film screening

Please join us in Seattle on June 26 (6pm) for an exclusive film screening of of Fire & Flood: Queer Resilience in the era of Climate Change! Sightline Institute believes that true sustainability exists at the intersection of environment health and social justice. We are honored to elevate the voices of those represented in the film through the Queer Ecojustice Project.

Fire and Flood is a collaborative documentary weaving a story of intersectional climate vulnerability and resilience through the voices of multiple-marginalized LGBTQ+ people. The story follows these individuals surviving through two climate disasters in 2017 (the Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa, California and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico), into the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stick around after the film for an enriching discussion on strategies of resilience crucial for navigating today’s challenges. Special guest Amasai Jeke from UTOPIA Washington will join Sightline’s Kate Anderson for a wide-ranging conversation on sustainable solutions, intersectionality in environmental spaces, and more. Space is limited, so RSVP today to secure your spot!
